Hey, Persona 4 fans!  I write for a website called “The Fandom Post” for a segment called, “Is it Worth the Hype.”  It’s been a while since I’ve written for it, but as I jump back into it I decided to tackle Persona 4: the game, the anime, and everything  :)  

Spoiler alert:  I love Persona 4, but I hope this article is a coherent explanation as to why it gets so much love and why is should keep getting all the love in the world  ^^

Guh.  Just… it’s just so magnificent (and reminds me of Juri from Revolutionary Girl Utena, who is also bad ass).  Just give me a U.S. release date already, Atlus, and then take my money.  

Newly made Pikachu shotglass for sale made by me  :)  The glass is completely usable and dishwasher safe.  Pikachu’s face is painted on the outside bottom of the glass so when you look into it, you can see him smiling at you.  Pika pika ^^  The glass itself has his tail painted on it.  Chu!  ^^

This is why I need a Vita at some point (I’m hoping when the game comes to the U.S., there’s at least a pre-order bonus with that Vita case or something).  Everything about it looks so SHINY!    

Oh, and OMG KANJI AND NAOTO TEAM UP ATTACK!!!  (yes my kannao tag applies for this post because… it just does o.k.?!)  If I can spam that move every turn I will, most definitely.  I’m also ridiculously pleased to see her in plain clothes, with that yellow tie (girls in ties are a weakness for me ^^)

Now please, Vita game, have some hint (even if it’s vague) to Persona 5.  And please, Persona 4 anime true ending episode, have the third level persona show up somehow.

As a friend of mine recently said to me and my partner, “I’ve seen some geeky rooms in my day, but never one like this from two girls.”  My partner and I bought a house last August and when we saw we have two extra bedrooms on the first floor we knew what to do.  One will be my office, for writing and art and things, and the second is… well, this  :)

Everything is hand drawn and painted by me and my partner.  She did the Sonic painting inside the closet and the Tetris on the side of it (which she decided to do a messed up game of Tetris instead of a perfect one since “this is what happens to me when I play).  She also painted Jack Frost on the side of the window, and we’re going to paint shadow Teddie above it since he looks so cool.  Meanwhile, I did the Konami code above the door, the Portal painting with Wheatley, the Starfox ship, and Katamari (she helped with the portal and Wheatley) in space, and the pac-man around the shelves.  The TMNT picture above the portal was also made by me.

Our ceiling is black, which we plan to paint a portal on the moon once we get the chance.  Portal 2 fans will know why  :)  We also are going to paint a MegaMan level above one of the windows because we got an awesome 2D MegaMan item from Anime Milwaukee.  Also thinking about getting the King of all Cosmos on the ceiling, too.

All of the figures, video games, manga, anime, blu rays, standees, and everything is a combination of all of our things.  Once we got out of the apartment we had much more room to spread things out.  There’s more figures in our living room, more of the "fancier” or high quality ones, like a lot of our comic book figures and such.  The living room is also where all of the game systems are (but we’re trying to figure out how to make room in the Geek Room – which this room is called – for the Magnovox Odyssey my dad just straight up GAVE me)

The Geek Room does NOT have all of our figures, there’s still some randomly in boxes that we need to get out  ^^;;;  Our next project is painting the bathroom next to the Geek Room in an underwater Mario theme.  We already have the walls painted blue and all of my little Mario figures are around the sink.  

So, in conclusion, my geekery spreads across everything, clearly.  I’m lucky to have a fantastic partner who’s just as geeky as me (she’s more anime while I’m more video games, but combined it makes wonderful things like this).

It’s a me.  MAR-I-O.  Clock  ^^  I have a ton of Mario things I’ve made but I thought I would start with this clock.  I tried a lot of new things with this one.  The paintings on the shell of the clock.  The tiny Mario on the second hand that moves around the clock as it ticks.  Painting “MARIO” on the glass of the clock.  I would love to do something like painting a level around the clock or a question block with a brick pattern on the shell…

… oh god why did I just say that  -_- *holds the muses back*   

Someone posted this on my facebook today.  I know I post crafty things I make like crazy, but I am also a huge gamer/anime nerd.  This is some sort of tech demo from Quantic Dream (Heavy Rain, Indigo Prophecy).  I really, really hope they take this beyond a tech demo and make this into a game.  The graphics, voice acting, EMOTION, just… seven minutes wasn’t enough, I want more!

I hope this is at E3, or something, since I’ll be going there in June.  

Everyday’s great at your Junes!  So in my mind, Teddie is totally the mascot for Junes by the end of the game, which means… Teddie merchandise for Junes!  I’ve been playing with glass work for a while, the etching stuff never really came out the way I wanted to, but then I discovered glass paint and well… ta da  :)  

The glasses I make are completely usable.  They can be washed, are dishwasher safe, the works!  This is a shot glass, and you know the face you want to see at the bottom of your drink is Ted’s, right?  LOL!

Oh!  The bottom isn’t painted on the inside, but the outside, so when you look down at it you see the character’s face  :)

First time I attempted to add ears to a clock  ^^  The ears are made out of sculpty I believe, this clock was made a while ago so I may be wrong.  Then the inside AND outside are painted like everyone’s favorite bear  :)  Urm… insert some witty bear pun here, not awake enough to function right now, lol.  

It actually can hang off the wall, too, I tested it because I was paranoid that the ears might be too heavy, but it worked out great!

It’s no secret that Kanji and Naoto are my OTP.  In fact, they might be my favorite OTP of all time.  I could go on and on about why I love them so much, but I’ll spare everyone.  As always, this is hand drawn/painted by me  ^^  

The words on the mirror say, “Love is Tender and Knows no Gender,” because I think these two fit that message perfectly.  This is because there seems to be this debate on whether or not Kanji is gay, Naoto is transgender, ect. ect.  To me, it doesn’t matter either way, because these two are such great characters with some powerful things to deal with, and they are great together (particularly in the anime where it goes beyond Kanji’s crush, they also fight together and work well with one another).  I don’t want to spend time debating whether or not someone is gay, straight, transgender, whatever.  What I want is to celebrate the fact that these two would be a great couple.  It works no matter how you look at it.  If he’s gay?  She’s most comfortable posing as a boy.  If he’s straight?  She’s adorable as a girl.  If he’s straight and just understands that she’s more comfortable as a boy?  Awesome.  If she feels comfortable as a woman by the end of the game?  Sure.  If she still wants to be the boy detective?  Sure, that works too.  If she actually wants a procedure to be turned into a male?  Sure, why not.  Anything and everything works, what matters is that these two can love one another no matter what  :)  

Oops… guess I went on and on about it after all  ^^;;;  Regardless, enjoy the mirror, it actually didn’t sell at the convention I had it at so it’s available for purchase  ^^
