The Inner Workings of a Chibi.
Fic review: The Shortest Distance From A to B chapter 30 (or 41 if you count the Interludes)

My favorite Kanji and Naoto fic got an update yesterday.  Instead of just sending the author a review, I’ll just post it on my tumblr since a) she reads my tumblr and b) people seemed to like it when I posted the fic recommendation, so I might as well talk about it here.

Very, very small spoilers to the fic behind the cut.

Headcanon: In which there’s no logical reason to get attached to a cat, they don’t live as long as us… but…

So my partner and I just had to put our cat down.  This is the first time I’ve ever had to do something like this.  I mean, I’ve had pets die, but I was never there for it, it was something my dad had to go through then he’d come home to tell me.

So I wanted to write something about the situation.  A pet’s short life expectancy isn’t really something I’ve ever thought about, sort of childishly thinking that, you know, she’d live for a very long time with me, or that when it was her time to go I’d be in a place in my life where I’d be able to deal with it (to which is absolutely not true I’d never be ready but you get it)

O.K.  No more rambling, here’s the headcanon.

Best. Fanart....

Wreck-it Kanji:  You’re mocking me, aren’t you?

Vanellope Naoto:  You are mocking me, are you not?

Best.  Fanart.  Ever!

Coworker on my tumblr: are all of your fics on here Persona?

Me:  *thinks*

Me:  … yeah  *hangs head*

Not that it’s a BAD THING mind you, but I swear I have other fandoms, I do!  Honest!  no not really Kanji and Naoto consume my very existence seriously there is no me there is only the Kanji and the Naoto.

Fic recommendation: The Shortest Distance from A to B

All right, I usually don’t do fic recommendations, but seriously: if you’re a Kanji/Naoto fan, you NEED to be reading this fic.  This writer is amazing, and it always makes me incredibly flustered when she likes one of my headcanons, because… those are just headcanons, whereas she’s writing this masterpiece of Kanji/Naoto fanfiction!

Here’s the link to the fic:  http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5337624/1/The-Shortest-Distance-from-A-to-B

Here’s why you should read it:

The gist of the fic is the entire game, only in Kanji’s POV, as he deals with his feelings for Naoto.  It starts right at the beginning of meeting him, and goes through everything that happens in the game.  Not just his social link, or hers, but it includes the entire team – which is great.  Souji, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Rise, Teddie, hell even Dojima, Nanako, and even some of Souji’s social links are important in this story.  It includes all of their feelings and portrays them beautifully.  This fic is so much bigger than Kanji and Naoto, it includes important events, like Nanako getting thrown into the T.V., them finding out who the killer is, and just… everything.  It addresses things that I honestly wish the game and anime would’ve touched on.

The rest below the cut are spoilers to the fic and the game, not enough to ruin it, but if you don’t want to know then don’t read.

Headcanon: In which Naoto Shirogane has an entirely different reason to keep her secret

OMG YOU GUYS A HEADCANON!  Am I slipping back into fandom?  WHO KNOWS!

So I had this thought today while I sat at my work desk, which is the best place to have fandom thoughts?  What if Naoto had a completely different reason to keep up her secret?  Yes yes, all of the canon reasons of course, but… what if Kanji Tatsumi – who seems to be attracted to boys – gave her one more?

Warnings:  Worksafe, a mesh of game and anime moments, kinda an AU sort of(?), using the pronounhefor Naoto for a while, cuteness, confusion(?), me doing headcanons again(?) because it makes the angst of my actual story less… angsty?

Headcanon: How Kanji Tatsumi was proposed to twice by the same detective

Look a proper headcanon that isn’t me wondering about life and the world and things  ^^;;;  So we’ve covered Naoto asking Kanji out on a date… sort of.  Now it’s time to cover how she proposes… sort of.

Warnings:  Completely work safe, MARRIAGE PROPOSALS, girl senpais cooking, smoke detectors, high heels, and MARRIAGE PROPOSALS!

Fun fact:  The smoke detector part comes from true facts!  One day, it went off randomly in our house because the battery was low, and we couldn’t figure out how to get it to shut up  ^^;;;

Headcanon: In which nothing is petty, Shirogane, especially when it comes to matters of the heart

So this isn’t a request one (still need to finish those) but I had this thought in my head while at work (somehow this came to mind at work, I dunno ^^;;;)  Usually, when it comes to stories of jealously, it’s Kanji jealous of Souji, or someone, or something when it comes to Naoto.  Rarely have I seen it be the reverse, of Naoto being jealous because someone is interested in Kanji.

So I thought I’d shake things up a bit  :)

Warning:  Completely worksafe, fairly short since I get off in like twenty minutes, lots of Naoto arguing with herself, made up female character-chan hitting on Kanji, and cheese fries.  Always, ALWAYS about the cheese fries!

Headcanon: in which Naoto Shirogane gives in to her male urges

A while ago someone asked if I had anymore headcanons about Naoto and her male inclinations.  Well, here’s another one  :)  I like Naoto all around, boy, girl, whatever. And I feel that, you know, after posing as a boy for so long, even if she’s o.k. with being a woman, those feelings still have to be there.

Leave it to Kanji to indulge Naoto.

Definitely, DEFINITELY not worksafe.
