A sort of close of picture from the massive post I made of coasters. Playing with shading with a woodburner is fun :) I also feel the need to paint Naoto’s hat no matter what I’m doing for her, I don’t know why ^^;;;
Sadly I didn’t get to the entire team, but I do have two more on the way: Adachi and Yukiko (with those weird glasses). It’s convention crunch time, so yeah, this blog is going to be full of random things I’ll be selling at Anime Iowa.
More coasters finished. Here’s a mix of many fandoms. From ponies to persona, and even some Batman, it’s a random post of things getting done for Anime Iowa. I’ve posted the one Persona one before, I just fixed it up a bit :)
And another coaster done, probably the last one for today since I have to go to work now. If you’re going to Anime Iowa this year, be sure to swing by our table. We should have a lot of fun things there, including plushies, and mirrors, and clocks, and wine glasses, and coasters, and Naoto hats, and possibly ponies?

While I don’t mind the NaotoXSouji/Yu ships, the thing that bothers me the most is how does Kanji feel? If you are trying to max his link and it’s obvious he likes Naoto I feel like that is a stab at him, dating the girl he obviously likes. I understand why people could ship them but because I feel like it is a jab towards a good friend is the reason why I disagree with it, not because I’m a KanNao shipper.
While I am a KanNao shipper, this is something I wondered about too. In the game, I couldn’t make myself date Naoto because a) I love her with Kanji and b) it’s obvious Kanji likes her, he has since before they knew her secret. But I remember wondering, “If I do date her, will Kanji say something,” and when I discovered that he doesn’t I was really surprised. The game definitely shows that he is crushing hard on her, why wouldn’t he say anything? If you can get caught with another girl and get in trouble for it, why can’t Kanji catch you with Naoto and get pissed off?
Now, I don’t mind Souji x Naoto either, but Kanji x Naoto is my preferred ship. Still, if Souji x Naoto is going to be a thing, I feel like Kanji should say something, or someone else on the team even.

Kiss her! Kiss her, you fool, kiss her! or, you know, faint… that’s fine, too, I’m sure more stuff goes on during the trip and there’s Valentine’s Day and all right? You know, maybe towards the end of the trip she finally learns how to ski and is all, “Thank you, Tatsumi-san,” and he’s all brain dead over the cute, but it’s progress!
Me: So I once read this fic where Naoto wanted Kanji to teach her how to be bad, you know, because she’s all straight-laced and what not. It was super cute!
Partner: Oh god, so were there moments of Kanji being like, “Get bent!” And Naoto is like, “Please to be getting bent.”
Me: PFFT! *dies*
