Doing a test

Reblog this if you would buy a book with an LGBTQ main character, whose sexuality was not the primary focus of the novel

If you would not, reblog this.

I’m pretty sure I’m writing a book like that…

Uh… my book has a pretty important gay character and his sexuality isn’t the focus  :)  I mean it’s there yeah but the story isn’t about his love life ^^

Check it out here (yes I did just advertise my book):  Treat Me Kindly

So I got the cover to my next book  :)  It’s my first full length gay romance novel.  Urm… there is romance, I swear!  Just… really twisted messed up stuff to go with it because, it’s me  ^^;;;

Here’s a blurb:  When something tragic happens, you want nothing more than to close your eyes and make all of the pain go away.  For Gable Peterson it’s a little more complicated than that.  When detective Maurice Ashford shows up at his door with news that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, has been found dead, Gable is left devastated.  Seeking some sort of comfort, Gable closes his eyes and imagines a world where none of this happened.

Only, Gable wakes up, he’s surprised to see that Avery is actually still alive.

I’ll post snippets and teasers over time. So far the release date looks to be November, so after “Hunters: Seeking the Storyteller.“ Yay books!

*gasp*  Another book?  Yep  ^^

brichibiwritesthings:

Hey everyone, would you like to read a scene from my book?  Follow this link  :)

A very cool blog has showcased my book  ^^

Can you do your own book ? :D

LOL!  I suppose I could, huh?  Let’s do “Treat Me Kindly" first.

  • 5 favorite characters:

Hmmm, let’s see.  Alex (main character), Nicholas (Alex’s friend), Myles (Nicholas’ love interest), Matthew (secondary character), Jazzmyn (first animal you meet).  Also breaking the rules and adding Natalie (one of the main females), Cassandra (Jazzmyn’s companion), Gwenyth (Alex’s big sister), Sandi (lab worker at the police station), Zahra (another animal), and Matthew’s mother, because I like how I wrote her.  Honestly I love ALL of them, even the bad characters because I love to hate them.

  • 3 OTPs:

Nicholas and Myles (M/M).  Jazzmyn and Cassandra (F/F).  Matthew and Jazzmyn (it’s super complicated M/F)

  • Funniest character:

Actually?  I’d have to say Alex.  He’s very sarcastic and is the character who pokes fun at people and situations to get over the seriousness of certain parts.

  • Prettiest character:

All of the animals are pretty, lol!  I think Cassandra is gorgeous, I really like dark skinned women in bright colors.  Myles is also very attractive, and he’s got this personal vendetta against clothing ^^;;;

  • Most badass character:

A toss up between Jazzmyn and Cassandra, they’re sort of when the “shit hits the fan" in the book.

  • Character I’d like as my BFF:

Either Natalie or Myles or Sandi (who is a table top dork, and though I don’t table top, I imagine that she’s an all around nerd).  Actually, Nicholas IS my BFF, I based his movie collection off of a good friend of mine  :)

  • Character that’s ruined my life:

That’s a big spoiler.

For fun, I’m going to do “Hunters: Seeking the Storyteller,“ since it’s coming soon.  I would do “Double Hue,” but there aren’t that many characters at all.

  • 5 favorite characters:

Alix (the one looking for the Storyteller), Cyn (human girl with a demon inside of her whose got a crap ton of attitude), Katalynne (awesome secretary-chan), Haven (uses a rare ice dragon), and Mira (fox demon).  Also want to mention Zach (Fagan’s little brother who can’t stay out of trouble), Fagan (Alix’s partner), Harper (Katalynne’s love interest), Dox (the demon who makes a deal with Alix), Xaver (Fagan and Alix’s old partner).  Also, coming soon in future books, there’s Laurence (Katalynne’s old boss), Laura (Laurence’s love interest), Puppet (Hunter and lounge singer), Julianne (Puppet’s love interest)

  • 3 OTPs:

Just three?!  Probably going to surpass that number.  Haven and Cyn.  Laurence and Laura.  Puppet and Julianne.  Zach and Mira.  Harper and Katalynne.

  • Funniest character:

I’d have to say Zach, but also Dox too as he develops a sense of humor.

  • Prettiest character:

Katalynne.  Definitely.  Again, it’s something about dark skinned women.

  • Most badass character:

They’re all pretty bad ass, but I will say that in the second book there’s a part I’m really looking forward to, because it ends up being this group of three women who go in and kick ass.  If I share my answer though it’s a huge spoiler.

  • Character I’d like as my BFF:

I’d have to say Zach again, because he’s kinda a geek.  I would say Cyn but she’d glare me to death for using a term like “BFF.“  Also, Mira is adorable.

  • Character that’s ruined my life:

Honestly, at some point in the series, ALL of them ruin my life, and it’s a huge spoiler as to why.

brichibiwritesthings:

This review just made my life!

Huzzah for good reviews for the book.

Also, I should say this real quick while we’re on the subject of reviews:

1.  If you’re reading the book, please leave a review somewhere.  Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads.  Even if it’s just one sentence, even if it’s just a star ranking, the more reviews it gets the more noticeable it is.

2.  If you, or someone you know, is a reviewer, even if you just actively read and post reviews on Amazon, or on tumblr or a blog, let me know.  I have free copies I can give to reviewers  :)

Happy reading, everyone!

In which something else is getting published!

brichibiwritesthings:

Um.

Yeah.

*speechless*

All right, let’s try this again.

I wrote a gay romance book, “Double Hue.” I’ve been trying to get it published, and decided to send it to the romance sister site of Damnation Books (who published my book, “Treat Me Kindly.”)  I sent it yesterday. Normally, they ask for a couple of chapters, but the Acquisitions Editor, Erin, responded right away and said that after reading the first paragraph she wanted the entire story.

I tried not to get my hopes up, but I sent it over.

I just got an email tonight saying that they’re accepting the book for publication.

*__*

*loud surprised SQUEE!!!*

In case you were curious, here is a brief description of the book:

When something tragic happens in your life you want nothing more than to close your eyes, go to sleep, and make all of the pain go away. For Gable Peterson it’s a little more complicated than that. When detective Maurice Ashford shows up at his door with news that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, has been found dead, Gable is left devastated. Seeking some sort of comfort Gable does the same thing he did when his grandfather died back when he was a little boy; he closes his eyes and imagines a world where it never happened.

Only, when Gable wakes up, he’s surprised to see that Avery is actually still alive.

So this is going to be a book now.  Stay tuned for more details!

Hey guys, did you know that I got swanky merchandise from my good friend for the release of my book?  Aren’t these earrings fantastic?  And check out that necklace!

Wondering what the deal is with the birdcage?  Well, you can purchase the book and find out, it’s available now!  You can find it on Damnation Books (you need to sign up with them and verify your age) OR on Amazon, ebook format.  Print is coming soon!

I’m just going to leave these awesome things here  :)

brichibiwritesthings:

All right, friends, the download link works now! I did also find out that you need to sign up for the website to purchase it, since you need to be 18 due to the content of the book. For now, the publisher website seems to be the only place that has the book, I’ll post other links as I get them.

As I said with the short story, don’t just buy the book, buy it, read it, tell me what you think, review it so others can read your thoughts on it, let everyone know about it :) Also, if you can think of any blogs or review sites or anything like that to send it to, let me know. I get eBook formats to send to reviewers ^^ I’ll post a better description tomorrow of everything, and thanks for being patient!

KYAH IT’S HERE!  Just eBook for now, and through the publisher’s site.  More links to come, and paperback release date to come later as well.  Happy reading, everyone!
