So I wrote that little blurb of Kanji’s love letter, someone wondered what a letter from Naoto would look like.

Well, here it is  ^^  Just like the Kanji one, this can apply to anyone and Naoto, though we all know where my OTP heart lies ^^

Randomly, these are fun to write, and a good break from the original story and trying to get things published thing that’s been going on  ^^;;;  I do still plan on starting that idol fic thing… at some point?

Despite who the letter is from, the penmanship is surprisingly shaky, words crossed out, as if the writer is uncertain.

Please send help so I do not have to endure these feelings any longer, as they will only cause more harm than good.  I am not the best candidate for you as I lack the social skills and qualifications to engage in a relationship.  Also, I have no time for such feelings, as I am busy being a detective, hence why I lack the social-

If not, I will be extremely distraught will understand not really, no not at all! and hope that we can continue to be friends.

Can we just talk about this scene for a second.  In the dub, she’s totally hitting on Kanji here shut up I know what I’m doing!

When Yosuke is all, “Tickled pink, huh Kanji?”  about Naoto joining the team, and Kanji blushes and spazzes like the big cutie he is, in the Japanese version Naoto says something like, “Do your best,” or some words of encouragement about them working to solve the case.

In the dub he spazzes, she looks at him and smiles and is like, “It’s o.k,” which my OTP brain takes to mean, “It’s o.k. if you’re flustered about me being here, I don’t mind cuz imma totally tap that,” and he’s all, “…. yeah whatever…” and looks away blushing.

I’m just sayin’ dubbed Naoto knows what she wants.

This part in Arena is so great!  The way she says it, it just… so, so wonderful.  She stutters so much over it, and just… this leads to lovely ideas of Kanji trying to teach Naoto how to swear and not be proper all the time.

Kanji:  When you have a bad day at work, say, “Fuck this shit!”

Naoto:  H-huh?

Kanji:  Come on, just try it!  "Fuck this shit!  Get bent!“

Naoto:  U-um… fffffffu…. f-f-fuc-… this… um… shhhh… please to be getting bent?

Kanji:  No!  Damnit Naoto!

Naoto:  I-I apologize, I simply cannot-

Kanji:  Just say it!

Naoto:  This… t-this particular s-s-shit… is in need of some… f-f-fucking, now please to be getting b-bent…

Kanji:  *slaps forehead*

Naoto:  fuckthisshitgetbent!  *blushes and hides forever*

Kanji:  … it’s a start, at least.

I need context for this sketch  :(  otherwise I’m going to headcanon it  >.<

I thought it was a really cool picture!  It fits Naoto’s shadow so well!  The rocket gun and the wings, I thought it was a really cool piece, and I can see a younger Naoto thinking, “I wanna be a spaceman!”  You know, little girls want to be princesses, Naoto would be different  :)  ”Spaceman” would be that kid dream, I think, before detective.  She’d run around her bedroom making rocket ship noises, kinda like Andy from Toy Story!

[ I think in the midst of Arena giving each character a theme song, we forgot the dungeon theme that, for a long time, we thought of as a sort-of character theme.

… I really do like the Secret Base theme though, but I’m really biased.

Guys this is my fault I take responsibility.  So now there’s a pop idol Naoto fic AND rp.  Yeah.  That’s what’s up. 

Oh god, this part… in the dub its so adorable, because she’s like, “From the signature it seems to be from… a girl…” like, she over-analyzes the hell out of it, and it doesn’t even bother her that it’s from a girl, it’s the fact that it’s not case related.  It’s like, “Oh a girl likes me… wait it’s not a case wtf get this shit out of my face!”

It also falls after the hospital scene where Kanji was all, “Naoto’s better than strawberry kit kats she’s the best thing 5eva,” so when this scene was next I was like, “OMG DID KANJI… oh she said girl… and oh there’s no penguin sticker it can’t be from Kanji…”
