The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

xkumah:

Where do you see “fragile”?

Seriously, shout out to Katsuki fucking Bakugou for giving Uraraka the respect she deserved in the ring when AN ENTIRE STADIUM WROTE HER OFF. Like whether you like Bakugou or not, him giving her the fight she deserved is CRUCIAL.

[Twin Stars Week Fic] The Adventures of Deku

I should be sleeping but I wrote fic because I’m a sad panda like that!

Fic: The Adventures of Deku

For: @twinstarsweek

Pairing: BakuDeku (and Iida/Uraraka as Iida proves to be husband of the year)

Day Four Prompt: FREE DAY!!!

Warnings: AU, Hints of Sexual Content (M/M and M/F), Fluff, Uber Supportive Uraraka and Iida (they love our boys)

Summary:  Ochako Uraraka is excited. So very excited. Because she gets to be a literary agent for Katsuki Bakugou. THE Katsuki Bakugou. We’re talking best sellers list, 5-star reviews, the works! Surely, the man who created Deku — cute bunny boy extraordinaire — is super chill and easy to work with.

Right?

[Or: Bakugou’s a children’s book author. Best boyfriend Izuku is his inspiration. Uraraka’s trying her best. Iida’s a top tier husband. And writing is a way to say I love you in front of a live studio audience.]

Snippet: “Ah, yeah, Kacchan’s pretty impatient.”

Kacchan, huh? What a cute nickname. Uraraka smiles and hands Izuku the key back once he gets inside. “Well, enjoy your morning with him, Izuku.”

“Deku.”

“… huh?”

“You should call me Deku. That’s my nickname.”

Deku?

Like… Deku, Deku?

Like The Adventures of Deku Deku?

A series of popular, well-loved children’s books by Katsuki Bakugou?!

“Uraraka?”

“A-a-ah, um, nothing, just… t-that’s the name of-”

“Oh!” Izuku — Deku fucking DEKU — nearly drops the food he’s carrying, his eyes shining in the kind of pride that lover’s have for their significant others when they accomplish their goals in life. “Yeah! The Adventures of Deku , right? My boyfriend writes that series! I’m Deku!”

Huh.

That’s…

H-huh.

You know how people get super pent up about people who ship Bakugou & Uraraka because it’s ‘abusive’ but are we gonna talk about the fact Bakugou has never actually been abusive to Uraraka.

People say “oh but the tournament battle!!!” Like Bakugou fought Uraraka the exact same way he fought Kirishima and Todoroki. Yes he was brutal and vigilant but he was with everyone that’s how he is as a person. Bakugou wasn’t stupid enough to underestimate her simply because she’s female he knew she was a strong opponent and acknowledges her as such. Implying that Bakugou should’ve fundamentally gone easy on Uraraka or treated her differently to everyone else is sexist. If Uraraka was male people wouldn’t say anything about it but because she’s female it’s suddenly abuse. Y’all fine with Kirib@ku/B@kushima despite the fact he was just as brutal with him in the tournament arc yet suddenly go ape shit when it’s Bakugou and Uraraka. Just admit you’re sexist and stop trying to hide behind some form of warped shipping activism to justify that sexism.

TO ADD!

Aizawa acknowledged that what Bakugou was doing was right and that going easy on Uraraku would be the wrong thing to do and how the pros should’ve been ashamed of themselves for booing him, because ALL OF THOSE KIDS ARE THERE TO FIGHT TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY.

Like y’all have an entire televised tournament where you cheer for teenagers to beat the shit out of each other but yeah let’s pump the breaks on this one fighter cuz she’s a cute girl.

Y’all have an entire, well-known, best of the best school where the first thing they did was KILLER ROBOT COMBAT but yeah let’s pump the breaks on this one fighter cuz she’s a cute girl.

Also how could you say that Bakugou doing that was wrong when it led Uraraku to start doing combat training and everyone likes that she does that now? We all cheered for her pinning Himiko down and taking Thirteen off guard, and she wouldn’t have even gotten to that point IF THAT BAKUGOU FIGHT DIDN’T HAPPEN!

Honestly her fighting against him was the best thing that could’ve happened to her because everyone else in the class would’ve gone soft on her and that would lead to zero growth as a hero.

Stop trying to pin Bakugou in your stereotypical asshole character trope when he’s more nuanced than that.

Izuku Midoriya is a top student at a prestigious university who, like many others, listens to music while he studies. While looking for a new CD with his friends, he discovers the lyrical stylings of one Katsuki Bakugou, a rather aggressive musician who definitely earns that “parental advisory” label. It’s not something Midoriya would listen to. No. Certainly not. He’s not buying his CD. He’s not watching his interviews. And he, most definitely, is not crushing on him.

Right?

[Or Bri writes an AU where Bakugou’s a rock star and Midoriya is quickly becoming his number one fan]

(Fic) Two Steps To Breaking

I haven’t written fic in FOREVER but that’s the power of BNHA I guess.

Title: Two Steps To Breaking

Warnings: Angst, spoilers up to the Hideout Raid Arc

Pairings: BakuDeku

Summary: It wasn’t just his eyes now. His voice was softer than normal. The word he should’ve been using was so obvious, but what was the point with a hero like Deku? If manufactured hatred didn’t push the boy away, what in the hell would love do?
