Filed under projects I should not attempt the week of a con after finishing other projects. The Black Butler mirror is making progress, all that’s left is adding the silhouette of Ciel and Sebastian. Debating on adding the title but I’m thinking no, and letting the picture speak for itself.
This entire thing was hand painted, I used dry erase marker on one side to do the lines, then painted it from the other side and wiped the marker off. It actually took longer than the Sailor Moon mirror omg why do I do these things? However, it will be done in time for Daisho, yay!
This was found in a store because it was part of what I assume was a broken cabinet set, or something? Yeah leave it to me to look at it and think, “I wanna paint that 2 days before a con for the art show whoo!”
Here it is! The progress pictures of the Sailor Moon mirror leading up to the final product at the end. Thanks so much everyone for the great response <3 I can’t wait to bring this to Daisho Con and put it in the art show, now I just need to figure out what to set the price at, lol.
This was a lot of fun to do. I’ve had this mirror sitting in my closet for years and wanted to do something with it. With the return of Sailor Moon the answer was clear :) If you click on each picture there’s comments on how each part was done.
If you’re going to Daisho, see you there!

Progress pictures and finished product for a clock I made for a local comic book convention coming to Minneapolis in October. We got a table for Fallcon 2013 at the State Fair Grounds which means that it’s time to make some comic book themed stuff. First up is an idea I had for a Dick Grayson clock.
Before I was going to just have their faces like this (Robin and Nightwing) with like a dark edge, then I thought, “Hmmmmm… let’s be a bit more tragic.” So I painted the clock edge colorful, like the circus. Then I added “Flying Graysons” to the glass. At first it was completely filled in, but I wanted to fix the yellow so it was more even, so I started to wipe it off to try again after doing the red outline.
And then… this happened because I didn’t scrub hard enough with the glass cleaner.
I was going to keep wiping until it came off then my wifey was like, “No. Keep it like that.”
So I did.
And ta da, you have yourself an angsty Dick Grayson clock ^^
More craft progress can be found on our store Facebook. You can request commissions or make purchases on our Etsy.
Progress pictures of the armored Princess Tiana cosplay. The skirt used will be my normal Tiana skirt so it’ll be all green and stuff, and of course my hair and things will be done as well. We just wanted to try on the armor to see what it looked like :) Gonna do another coat of gold to make it look better, I still can’t believe this is just craft foam O.o
So remember the Persona tarot cards I made? Someone asked if I could possible color the cards. I wanted to give it a shot and this is what it looks like colored. The actual Fool and dog is woodburned, while the background is painted to look like the background on the card. So I guess painting it does work ^^ I’m only going to have this one done for now and bring it to Geek.Kon, and I’ll probably end up charging more because it took more work to get it done, but this will be a test run to see if this is something I can offer :)
The first picture is the sketch done on the wood before burning. The second is the burning of the Fool and the dog. Then the final picture is the background painted.

The finished Colossal! We’ll be getting better pictures taken later on. :3 For now, these guys are off to GenCon!
A commission that Simon Gannon finished yesterday, with KrisRix as an assistant.
The client needed 35-40 Warmachine miniatures painted for his army, and he also needed a Colossal painted (as pictured). The army will be used at Gen*Con this weekend! : )
The Colossal was base-coated using an airbrush (top picture), and then finished off with some painting by hand, rust aging, and terrain applications.
Feel free to contact us if you’d like your miniatures painted! : )
Oh god look at those details! *__*
Finished up a clock commission of Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash.
We’re going to be at two conventions this month, Geek.Kon and Metacon, which means that its time to get some stuff made for the table. This time, I thought I’d post some before and after pics. The first pic is how the clock starts then the last is how it looks after I draw and paint on it. This is Haruka’s jacket and shirt from the Free! ending, “Splash Free.”
This is how I spent my weekend. Yay Anime Central preparations! There’s more clocks in progress, but these are the ones completely put together.
Fun facts:
1. The Marceline one? The guitar goes around the clock in seconds, since it’s the second hand.
2. Jack Frost was the first one I made this weekend. I made his hoodie for the edge of the clock with pencil dipped in white paint.
3. The Sailor Moon silhouette is painted on the glass itself, so it sticks out a bit.
4. Kid Flash feels :(
These will be for sale at my table at Anime Central. T-minus two weeks!
Wow I haven’t posted anything crafty in a while ^^ Just finished a commission I got of a pony clock with Rarity and Dr. Whooves (or Time Turner). As always, you can commission me for your very own clock :)
