You know, maybe they’re right, maybe Atlus is an awful company.  Think about it!

1.  The fact that you can name your character whatever you want, means that you can name him something offensive, which is just outrageous!  This means you can walk around being called horrible things for all the world to see.  Oh, and the fact that this boy is a blank slate to begin with shows their opinion of teenage boys: that they are blank and can’t think for themselves, they need someone to guide them.

2.  The fact that everyone needs glasses clearly, clearly shows that Atlus thinks that we, as people, can’t see the truth, and that we need help.  Assholes.

3.  The fact that Adachi is the bad guy shows what they think of the police.  Police are evil, evil people, at Atlus knows this, since a police officer is the bad guy here.  Nevermind the fact that Dojima and Naoto are good detectives, ADACHI is a clear statement against “the man,” or… something.

4.  Don’t get me started on their opinion about gas station attendants!

Please understand that I’m being silly, I love Atlus… even if they think I need glasses.  Although, getting together and baking cupcakes to send to the company ala Mass Effect 3 might be fun, we can make Teddie shaped ones!

And another coaster done, probably the last one for today since I have to go to work now.  If you’re going to Anime Iowa this year, be sure to swing by our table.  We should have a lot of fun things there, including plushies, and mirrors, and clocks, and wine glasses, and coasters, and Naoto hats, and possibly ponies?

Making progress!  Anime Iowa is soon so things need to be woodburned and ready to sell.  First up is – surprise surprise – Persona things!  The first coaster is of Minato and Thanatos, the second is of Naoto.  Expect much, muuuuuch more Persona things being posted soon.  This is going to be like a craft blog for the rest of the month  :)

Whether you like the new look or not, you have to admit that this cosplay is PERFECT!  Great job  :)

Progress picture number two (because for some strange reason I actually like how something I’m making is turning out).  I still need to paint his eyes yellow, and I think I’m going to try and make the red parts of Magatsu Inaba a bit… I dunno the word for it, like, kinda fuzzy?  Static like?  I’ll probably have it finished when I come home from work, then I need to start doing Adachi on the second mirror to match  :)  is a smiley face really appropriate for this?! 

Progress picture!  This is the mirror that was originally meant for this complete project: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1ymkyhHjp1rt1zjto1_1280.jpg but I had messed up Izanagi.  My partner recently found the mirror, since the picture of Izanagi was poorly erased and said, “Do Magatsu Izanagi and Adachi.”  At first I said no because I had messed up the picture so bad, but then I decided to try and fix it.

This is the progress so far.

So this is going to be two mirrors.  Magatsu Izanagi’s mirror is going to have the pattern of the sky for Magatsu Inaba.  Adachi, on the second mirror (and pushing the two mirrors together will connect their faces, like in the Souji and Izanagi burning I did above) will have yellow caution tape.  

Oh, and still looking for good pictures of the Pierrot arcana card, if I can find it, I want to paint it on the glass of one of the mirrors.  If I can’t, I might just paint the back of the card.

I’ll post the completed picture when do.  It’ll be available at Anime Iowa in about a month :)

Also, my partner found an old mirror I had sketched that was supposed to be Izanagi, but I had messed it up and tried to erase it but the pencil was too dark.  So she says, “Turn it into Adachi’s persona,” and I go, “No… o.k. yes.”  Pictures soon!

Randomly… I need to move onto another series to make, seriously, or the whole Anime Iowa table we have is going to be Persona Con 2012.

persona–confessions:

While I don’t mind the NaotoXSouji/Yu ships, the thing that bothers me the most is how does Kanji feel?  If you are trying to max his link and it’s obvious he likes Naoto I feel like that is a stab at him, dating the girl he obviously likes.  I understand why people could ship them but because I feel like it is a jab towards a good friend is the reason why I disagree with it, not because I’m a KanNao shipper.

While I am a KanNao shipper, this is something I wondered about too.  In the game, I couldn’t make myself date Naoto because a) I love her with Kanji and b) it’s obvious Kanji likes her, he has since before they knew her secret.  But I remember wondering, “If I do date her, will Kanji say something,” and when I discovered that he doesn’t I was really surprised.  The game definitely shows that he is crushing hard on her, why wouldn’t he say anything?  If you can get caught with another girl and get in trouble for it, why can’t Kanji catch you with Naoto and get pissed off?

Now, I don’t mind Souji x Naoto either, but Kanji x Naoto is my preferred ship.  Still, if Souji x Naoto is going to be a thing, I feel like Kanji should say something, or someone else on the team even.

Just sketched out a heart-shaped coaster for crossdressing!Kanji that says “Get Bent,” and am now sketching out a crossdressing!Yosuke button that says, “Strawberry Shortcake.”
