As a new upcoming magazine, we want to give you all the best quality magazine. With that being said, we need your help. To make sure this issue is successful and full of amazing articles and photos, we would gladly take any donation that you can offer. We want to make the best Plus Sized Cosplay magazine out there and with your help, we can make those dreams come true. Donate if you can and if you can not, pass this along to someone who may. Always remember Cosplay is for everyone. Live by these simple rules: Peace, Love, Unity and Respect.
All right, everyone, I would love if you could spread the word about this and/or donate if you can. I really want this magazine to become a thing. A good thing. A big thing. How great would it be to have a magazine like this one available? The ladies running it are trying their hardest but they need some help. Let’s work together and get this thing off the ground :)
So this is a thing coming soon and I’m super excited to talk about it! Not only do I have an article in the first issue, but I’ll also have an interview in the second issue. If you’re going to Anime Central, I’ll be there with business cards about the magazine to advertise it. I’ll have them at my table and will be walking around with them :)
Here’s how you can keep up with the magazine:
Facebook
Storenvy
Twitter
You know, I really love what Midnight Pursona shared about cosplay, but what I love more is that more people are coming out and saying how bashing someone over cosplay is just ridiculous. I love that more people are being vocal about it and when someone says something offensive to them they’re responding to it.
There’s this idea of “laughing it off” and “responding gives your oppressor power.” However, I only like to laugh at things that are funny, and being called names isn’t funny. Also, how long can you expect someone to be quiet about something? Being called horrible names and not saying anything doesn’t always work, because that can give someone the idea that they can keep doing it. And why are we blaming the victim in the first place? Instead of addressing the person who is doing the name calling, when did it become o.k. to be like, “Eh don’t say anything,” and, “You’re just making it worse by saying something.” Right, so it’s my fault for defending myself?
Also, speaking out can give someone else who is too afraid to try cosplay the confidence to try, which is amazing. I love when people are like, “I’m going to try cosplay now because of you,” so when I see more people speaking out about this I get a happy little smile on my face :)
