I love all forms of my OTP there is no wrong way to ship them.
After seeing how many Kanji’s there were at Katsucon, I decided I needed to do something a little different. So with a little help from Nikita and a bit of leftover fabric from Scruffy Hawkeye, we managed to come up with this: my first run as Shadow Kanji.

Another request done, whoo! This time it’s for Simon Gannon, the wonderful husband of KrisRix. He requested a Kanji and Yukiko story, which took me by surprise, but then I immediately got an idea :)
Warnings: Sometimes, lessons of acceptance are learned the hard way, and those lessons have the easiest answers.
Urm… spoilers for Kanji’s dungeon, if… that’s even a spoiler anymore, followed by a bunch of notes at the end about my rambly Persona 4 thoughts.

Phew! Here we go. SewnTogetherReflections is headed to Geek.Kon this weekend. If you’re there, feel free to stop by the table, we’ll have plenty of Persona related items. Shadow coasters! Shadow Kanji and Shadow Naoto are, by far, my two favorite shadows in Persona 4. Not just because of my feelings for the two characters, but because of how interesting I thought both of them were.
Shadow Kanji’s coaster actually says, “Born this Way, so GET BENT,” because it’s part of my “Born This Way” set seen here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/99962739/born-this-way-custom-coaster-you-pick on top of the whole “thug with a soft spot” the whole sexuality thing was thrown in there, too, which just added an entirely different, and interesting, dynamic. I thought it was really powerful when his shadow was like, “I just want to be accepted."
With Shadow Naoto, I really, really like how the anime did that whole scene. That shadow seemed to get really uncomfortably close and pretty much drove Naoto to break down, which I loved, because that’s what the shadows are supposed to do, right? Force you to face something you don’t want to admit to. Not to mention that she had to face her shadow alone (everyone else was outside the door, watching from T.V. screens, which added to the, "I don’t want to be alone,” vibe)
And thus, coasters :)
Part of a series of coasters I’ve started doing for all of the wonderful anime characters who are flamboyantly beautiful. The “Born This Way” set celebrates these characters for how awesomely spectacular they are. I still want to do more characters, of course, but these three are from shows/games I really, really enjoy right now. I also want to do female characters, but for some reason only Sailor Uranus and Juri from Utena stand out ^^;;;
It might be hard to see, but burned onto the edge of the coaster is “Born This Way,” except for Shadow Kanji whose says, “Born This Way… so Get Bent!”
