Naoto coaster done :) (of course, I had this all sketched out before Persona 4 Golden had that whole epilogue thing, but I still like how novel Naoto looks). It might be hard to see around the edge, but it says, “I am a woman, and a detective,” because for some reason there’s this idea going around that now that Naoto seems comfortable with being a woman (be it the novel or the Golden epilogue), that makes her less bad ass. Thinking that way just proves her original point of thinking she needed to be a man to get any respect. Why are we assuming she’s suddenly not as cool because she accepts herself? Come on, this is the same Naoto who helped put the pieces together for Namatame, who called Adachi out for his crimes, and who stood with us against Izanami, and that was all AFTER the big reveal. At what point did she become less bad ass? And no, pointing out her being flustered over getting on stage in a swimsuit or getting in a hot springs doesn’t count, being shy does not make a person less awesome.
And no, I’m absolutely not against the idea of Naoto being trans, I already spoke my piece about that in which I don’t really care how you interpret her (or him), Naoto is amazing no matter what. The point of the coaster is to say hey, the girl interpretation of Naoto Shirogane does not ruin her awesome status for me. She can still kick ass, still does, and still will.
Um… now that that rambling is done… enjoy the coaster?
Progress pictures of the Jack Frost mirror I’m making. I originally was going to leave it at the four woodburned ones, but after realizing that there’s many more Jacks out there, I thought they all needed love.
The only ones I didn’t include are the ones in Soul Hackers, who look like the standard Jack Frost but are just different colors, which wouldn’t really work on a woodburning since I’m not going to paint it.
Debating on either painting the Shin Megami logo on the glass, or painting “HEE HOO” on it ^^ Leaning more towards “Hee Hoo” :)
That moment when…
You’re working on a Jack Frost mirror, you have four of them burned on there, then as you’re looking for reference pictures for Raidou Jack you find like five other ones too.

…
… sigh *starts sketching the other ones* The robot one is kinda cute, though ^^
Urm… yeah, uh… cross-dressing Kanji coaster! I don’t know where I got the idea of just having the hair and scar, but then I felt it was missing something so… get bent? I dunno, I’m rather fond of crossdressing Kanji (or any form of Kanji, really…) so… ta da? And it’s heart-shaped because… o.k. you know what, I don’t need a reason, please to be getting bent!
A sort of close of picture from the massive post I made of coasters. Playing with shading with a woodburner is fun :) I also feel the need to paint Naoto’s hat no matter what I’m doing for her, I don’t know why ^^;;;
Sadly I didn’t get to the entire team, but I do have two more on the way: Adachi and Yukiko (with those weird glasses). It’s convention crunch time, so yeah, this blog is going to be full of random things I’ll be selling at Anime Iowa.
Making progress! Anime Iowa is soon so things need to be woodburned and ready to sell. First up is – surprise surprise – Persona things! The first coaster is of Minato and Thanatos, the second is of Naoto. Expect much, muuuuuch more Persona things being posted soon. This is going to be like a craft blog for the rest of the month :)
My Persona 4 tag in a nutshell
Or why every fandom hurts… sometimes. Yes, said in that “Everybody hurts” song melody.

Another clock finished (actually, it was finished before I went to L.A., but I didn’t get a change to put it together until now). This time it’s the Yasogami High pin. I tried to make the side of the clock look like their uniform collars.
I also want to do one for Persona 3 :)
This clock will be posted on the Etsy store for sale soon, of course you can just send me a message on here, too. Check out the store if you haven’t already: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop
Progress picture of an upcoming clock that should be finished soon. Operation, “Make a lot of stuff for Anime Iowa,” is officially underway :) So this is what the painted face of one of my clocks looks like before I put it inside the clock.
The idea is to paint the edge of the clock like the collar to the school uniform, yeah, that gray part with the little black parts that, I swear, look like Space Invaders ^^;;;
