Last things I finished for Youmacon!
Getting some stuff sketched and ready to be woodburned for Geek.Kon. I plan on having all of the AoT emblems on shields and as many tarot cards as I can :)
7! Now I have 7 burned and finished! I have 5 more sketched out which will make 12, but I plan on attempting to make the ENTIRE ARCANA SET! These are for sale and will be sold individually… unless if someone is crazy enough to order the entire thing (including the extra links, like Marie, and Adachi).
So there’s… 20 altogether, plus 3 more because of Golden? (though isn’t Aigis in the Aeon arcana too, not just Marie?) Whatever the case, there will be 23 coasters. I can’t decide if I want to post them on sale now or when the entire thing is finished, though who knows when it’ll all be finished since I ABSOLUTELY NEED to take breaks in between ^^;;;
This is what the front of my laptop looks like these days. The first four are the burned, finished ones so far (The Fool, Magician, Empress and Emperor) and the five laying flat are the ones that still need to be burned (The Fool/Jester – thanks Adachi, Lovers, Chariot, Fortune – so far the hardest one to sketch – and Judgment – go Seekers of Truth!) Currently I have three blocks left and plan on doing The Priestess, The Star, and… I’m not sure ^^;;; I can’t decide between Lust, Aeon, or Hierophant. (or for the P4 savvy, Adachi’s second arcana, Marie, and Dojima)
So originally I hadn’t intended on making so many, I was just putzing around and did the Magician first, then moved on to the Emperor and the Fool, and just… I dunno, it just keeps going ^^;;; I at least want the entire Investigation Team done, Adachi was a happy accident along with Margaret.

I’ve been woodburning all day, I figured I would show off some of the new things I’ve made. It’s time for Persona tarot cards! I’m not sure if I’ll get through ALL of the arcana (especially since some of the designs intimidate me), but I’ll do my best!
Here we have the Fool, the Magician, and the Emperor. Sometimes, I paint parts of my woodburnings, but I’m not going to do that at all with these and sort of let the shading and the wood speak for itself?

Here’s all of the Shin Megami Tensei things I’ve made, not necessarily for just Persona, but for the franchise as a whole. From coasters, to mirrors, to clocks, I love making things from this franchise because I love the games so much. Finally finished the next one! The Magician wineglass now stands next to The Fool ready to take a mortal blow. I’m not sure which one to make next, but I suddenly find myself needing to get more wineglasses as I keep making things for Anime Iowa (and for our shop in general) I sort of want to try The Emperor because my love for Kanji is strong but I also like the design of the Hanged Man. I WILL do Fortune… someday, that design still sort of scares me to try and paint on a glass ^^;;;

Making progress on the next wineglass. I still have to paint the base in the design as this one that I did for the first wineglass, “The Fool.” (http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3jx50xQ7y1rt1zjto1_500.jpg)
This one is actually taking longer than planned, at first glance I thought the design wasn’t too complicated, but as I started painting it I realized that wasn’t the case. Glass paint is pretty thick, so I ended up doing the eyes like… twice, because I didn’t like how they looked the first time. But I think I got it now :)
Which one should I try next, I wonder? I was going to try “The Hanged Man” I think. I really wish I could do the whole Investigation Team, but looking at “The Chariot” is a bit terrifying.

Oh, by the way, ignore the geekery behind the glass (TV, Xbox, wii, there’s a PS3 somewhere, and the display case of Disney things ^^;;;)

Uh… seeing since the wineglass here has the most hits I’ve had on tumblr (http://brichibi.tumblr.com/post/22443320060/i-suppose-this-works-for-shin-megami-tensei-in) I should go ahead and make more. Seriously guys, thank you so much! I was honestly just messing around with an idea and it seems to have worked out great :)
