[Twin Stars Week Fic] The Adventures of Deku

I should be sleeping but I wrote fic because I’m a sad panda like that!

Fic: The Adventures of Deku

For: @twinstarsweek

Pairing: BakuDeku (and Iida/Uraraka as Iida proves to be husband of the year)

Day Four Prompt: FREE DAY!!!

Warnings: AU, Hints of Sexual Content (M/M and M/F), Fluff, Uber Supportive Uraraka and Iida (they love our boys)

Summary:  Ochako Uraraka is excited. So very excited. Because she gets to be a literary agent for Katsuki Bakugou. THE Katsuki Bakugou. We’re talking best sellers list, 5-star reviews, the works! Surely, the man who created Deku — cute bunny boy extraordinaire — is super chill and easy to work with.

Right?

[Or: Bakugou’s a children’s book author. Best boyfriend Izuku is his inspiration. Uraraka’s trying her best. Iida’s a top tier husband. And writing is a way to say I love you in front of a live studio audience.]

Snippet: “Ah, yeah, Kacchan’s pretty impatient.”

Kacchan, huh? What a cute nickname. Uraraka smiles and hands Izuku the key back once he gets inside. “Well, enjoy your morning with him, Izuku.”

“Deku.”

“… huh?”

“You should call me Deku. That’s my nickname.”

Deku?

Like… Deku, Deku?

Like The Adventures of Deku Deku?

A series of popular, well-loved children’s books by Katsuki Bakugou?!

“Uraraka?”

“A-a-ah, um, nothing, just… t-that’s the name of-”

“Oh!” Izuku — Deku fucking DEKU — nearly drops the food he’s carrying, his eyes shining in the kind of pride that lover’s have for their significant others when they accomplish their goals in life. “Yeah! The Adventures of Deku , right? My boyfriend writes that series! I’m Deku!”

Huh.

That’s…

H-huh.

[Twin Stars Week Fic] Saturday

Fic: Saturday

For: @twinstarsweek

Pairing: BakuDeku

Day Three Prompt: Domestic/Beach/Light/Fantasy

Warnings: Domestic Fluff

Summary:  But, eventually, Saturday comes, and there’s something wonderful about getting the stains out to create a fresh start.

[Or: There’s something relaxing about doing housework when your job is to save the world]

Snippet: “Hey there, you fucking nerd,” and only Katsuki Bakugou can say something like that and make it sound like a pick up line. “Whatcha got there?”

“Laundry,” Izuku says cooly. “What about you?”

Katsuki turns so Izuku can get a good look at him. Old sweatpants with a hole in the crotch. Loose fitting tank top that hasn’t seen an iron for centuries. His hands are wet, remnants of dish suds on his fingers like sparkling jewelry. “Dishes. They’re dirty. Gotta show em’ who’s boss.”

“Mmmm,” and Izuku is proud of himself for managing to moan like that without bursting into a fit of giggles. “Did I ever tell you how hot Domestic Kacchan is?”

[Twin Stars Week Fic] Behind Closed Doors

Fic: Behind Closed Doors

For: @twinstarsweek

Pairing: BakuDeku

Day Two Prompt:  Secrets/Protect/Hands/Fear

Warnings: Smut, Angst, Pro Hero Bakugou, Vigilante Midoriya

Summary: Dreams do come true, kids. That’s the message that Katsuki Bakugou has for you. Because listen, he’s had a dream since he was four years old, and you know what he did? He spent his whole life making sure that dream came true. That’s why he’s the number one hero. That’s why, at age twenty-five, Ground Zero is a household name. That’s why his T-shirts sell out in stores, why something as simple as an orange X has become an icon…It’s also why he’s a fucking liar.

[Or: Bakugou’s got it bad for Izuku Midoriya, but Deku ain’t really the name of a hero anymore]

Snippet:  A smile creases over Izuku’s features and Katsuki hates how it makes his heart flutter. At fifteen, Izuku had been cute, with messy freckles and large, green eyes full of dreams that twinkled like the stars above. He’d been scrawny and determined, small but capable, a boy full of heroic ambitions that made him the perfect successor to All Might. Now? He’s taken that power and twisted it, become some kind of vigilante who thinks he’s above the law because he’s got a good quirk and a smile as sweet as honey.

All those years at U.A. and this is what he does?

It makes Katsuki sick, but even sicker is the fact that he always manages to find space in his life for him. It’d be so much easier if Izuku had broken into his apartment, but the truth of the matter is that he has a key, a goddamn key, and a fucking toothbrush on Katsuki’s sink. Because Izuku Midoriya is painfully beautiful now, hair shaved at the side of his head, freckles even more out of control, like someone got too excited about sprinkling dots over a perfect canvas.

“Do we have to have this conversation?” Izuku asks, standing right in front of the raised palm of Katsuki’s hand. He makes sure his face is right in front of it, close enough to smell the smoke from the bursts of fire. “You just got home after a long day of heroism, you probably don’t feel like arguing.”

“Don’t talk to me like we’re-”

“Come on, Kacchan. Stop lying to yourself, just once,” then Izuku reaches over and takes his hand, easing off the glove before he presses his lips against Katsuki’s knuckles. “You know exactly what we are.”

My Twin Stars Week series of fics

[Twin Stars Week 2018 Fic] A Hero’s Welcome

Fic: A Hero’s Welcome

For: @twinstarsweek

Pairing: BakuDeku

Day One Prompt: Stargazing/Blood/Blankets/Childhood

Warnings: Blood, Violence, Smut, Angst, Comfort, One-Shot

Summary: It’s cool. This life is cool. This moment is cool. He and Kacchan are cool, so cool. Their younger selves would be so proud of them, so excited about the bruises and near death experiences in their future. They’ve become the heroes they grew up watching on television, and really, it’s cool, the absolute coolest.

[Or: Being a hero isn’t as cool as they make it out to be]

Snippet: The first time Izuku Midoriya bleeds real bad is when he’s four years old. He comes home after spending the day with resident cool kid, Katsuki Bakugou, knees scraped and his front tooth in his pocket instead of his mouth. His mother panics and tells him that he’s not allowed to hang around that Katsuki boy for a week, which in kid terms is longer than forever. Izuku tries to put the blame on himself, says that he knew he shouldn’t have gone into the closed off area but he’d followed along because Kacchan is amazing!

Mama Midoriya doesn’t care. One week. End of story.

That’s when young Midoriya learns that people generally are opposed to seeing blood. It’s a sign of violence, of unspeakable pain and hurt that you try your best to avoid.

But when he sees Katsuki at school he’s got a scar on his forehead that he’s bragging about, the kids in awe over the injury. To him, it’s a sign of toughness, of overcoming obstacles and coming out on top. Heroes bleed and collect bruises like stamps, and the greatest one of all does it with a smile on his face.

That childish notion is one Izuku clings to when facing off against a particularly nasty villain.
