So I got the cover to my next book :) It’s my first full length gay romance novel. Urm… there is romance, I swear! Just… really twisted messed up stuff to go with it because, it’s me ^^;;;
Here’s a blurb: When something tragic happens, you want nothing more than to close your eyes and make all of the pain go away. For Gable Peterson it’s a little more complicated than that. When detective Maurice Ashford shows up at his door with news that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, has been found dead, Gable is left devastated. Seeking some sort of comfort, Gable closes his eyes and imagines a world where none of this happened.
Only, Gable wakes up, he’s surprised to see that Avery is actually still alive.***
I’ll post snippets and teasers over time. So far the release date looks to be November, so after “Hunters: Seeking the Storyteller.“ Yay books!
*gasp* Another book? Yep ^^

Possible cover number 2!!
Here’s the second proof we received from our cover artist. Alix and Fagan are peering around the corner at… a lurk.
Potential cover #2: by rain-arc.com and lorbot.deviantart.com
And a little snippet to go with it:
The Lurkhamara was glaring at them, its arm extended out as shadows leaked from its fingers and dripped onto the ground. Instead of speaking a command, the words attack and destroy appeared over the creatures’ bodies, the shadows’ loud screech piercing into the air. These small, round creatures were quickly scurrying after them like rabid parasites. None of them had eyes to see, instead they were made of toxic shadows that seemed to kill the plant life and land that the creatures touched. As they got closer Fagan could see that a few of them had large holes that served as mouths, sharp teeth dangling and ready to strike. Fagan glanced back at Alix, frowning, “Alix, backup!”
“Allow me.” Yvonne smirked and stepped past Fagan, pushing his hand out. What was a small flame at his fingertips surged forward, exploding in a wave of yellow and red flames. The strange shadowy creatures wailed in protest, their bodies instantly melting from the heat.
Cover number two!

A very cool blog has showcased my book ^^
Let the letters form words that whisper at the edge of your soul.
Hey y'all! If you have Facebook, I have an author page there. Feel free to check it out, I post all sorts of things, from previews to future projects to my new kittens ^^ Please go check it out :)
Because I posted this on my Facebook, I thought I’d post it here. There’s not pretty things in my book, and here’s a longer, more thought out explanation as to how it all came about. Behind a cut for triggers and ranting about things like “legitimate rape" and such nonsense.
Reblogging because the issue is important to me, oh and because you should follow my writing blog of course. But mostly because the issue is important to me.
This interview is important to me, because the woman who interviewed me actually brought up fanfiction. I don’t think people realize how important fanfiction really is in the writing world. Check out the interview for my answer to the question, “What has fanfiction done for you as a writer?“
Reblogging because I know a lot of you like my headcanons and fics, well, this is what those things did for me as a writer :)
I had a thought of writing some sort of Geeky GLBT romance anthology thing while at Animinneapolis this weekend. You know, book one would be about conventions, book two would be about video games, book three would be about fanfiction, and so on and so forth. I guess the question is, do I write it strictly as gay romance, or should it be all sorts of romance (gay, lesbian, straight, trans, bi, asexual, and so on and so forth). Because I think I would like to try and tackle everything over the course of the books which would require a bunch of research on things I find interesting, but know nothing about. I would really like to try writing things for underrepresented couples, like asexual couples and things like that.
Thoughts? Advice?
Reblogging so more people can see and chime in on this idea :)
I was lucky enough to get a review copy of Briana Lawrence’s “Treat Me Kindly"; I enjoyed it so much that I bought it too. (Yay! Support authors that you love and tell them about it too.) After a rock star is found dead, Detective Alex Sampson finds embroiled in a case where the cause of death points towards an extinct animal; in the basement of a high-profile business, an exclusive auction invites society’s elite to purchase themselves a rare animal that suits their exclusive lifestyle; a young man, heart broken and defeated, attends the auction in lieu of his father. This review just made my life!
Huzzah for good reviews for the book.
Also, I should say this real quick while we’re on the subject of reviews:
1. If you’re reading the book, please leave a review somewhere. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Goodreads. Even if it’s just one sentence, even if it’s just a star ranking, the more reviews it gets the more noticeable it is.
2. If you, or someone you know, is a reviewer, even if you just actively read and post reviews on Amazon, or on tumblr or a blog, let me know. I have free copies I can give to reviewers :)
Happy reading, everyone!
“It doesn’t have to count.”
“Pardon me?”
“The kiss. It doesn’t have to count.”
Naoto looks at the girl sitting across from her. All sweet smiles and pigtails, Rise “Risette” Kujikawa is the picture perfect image of “girl.” She wears the uniform better than Naoto ever could, but is courteous enough not to point that out.
“What do you mean it does not have to count?”
Rise keeps the smile in place, answering the question with practiced ease, “The kiss, silly. It doesn’t have to count. Your first kiss should be special, so this one doesn’t have to count.”
“If it does not have to count, what was the point in doing it?” The logical frown is firm on her face.
“I just… I wanted to, you know? Sometimes girls just want to.” It’s not at all an honest answer, but she hopes it’ll suffice so she doesn’t have to go into the truth — ironic, she knows, since they’ve both had harsh lessons on the importance of truth.
“No, I do not know. People do things for a reason.”
“Well I had no reason. I just wanted to kiss you. But it doesn’t have to count, I know who you want it to count with.” Even if Naoto isn’t willing to say the name out loud, Rise knows who her first should belong to.
Naoto tries to keep the blushing at a minimum, but her cheeks don’t listen, “R-regardless, you should not assume that this kiss was meaningless.”
“Naoto-kun, I told you-“
“I mean it. This kiss… this was a good first kiss.”
She tries not to look too hopeful, but her voice is high and excited when she speaks, “Really? Well then, can we try for a second first kiss?”
The blush is worse the second time around, but it still makes for a good second first kiss.

So the lovely ladies Sarah Fong and Kris Lee did some fantastic Naoto and Rise cosplay pictures. I haven’t written any fandom related things in a long time, but this pic inspired me. Keep up the great work, ladies!
In case you missed it late last night, I wrote a Persona 4 headcanon thing after not having written headcanons in centuries :) Also be sure to check out the ladies I link to, they’re the ones who did the amazing cosplay.
