Guys what’s going on I just posted that little headcanon like an hour ago who are all these people liking it?!
Oh yeah in case you missed it I wrote a thing on my writing blog. Last time I wrote fandom stuff was like 5 million years ago it feels like. But yeah, I wrote a thing, and people seem to like the thing? I should be doing crafty things but instead I wrote a thing?
It’s a simple thought that fuels the rapid beats of his heart. Run. His feet move on their own accord, smashing through fallen leaves and wrinkled branches. Crunch. Crunch. His throat hurts and the air is hot, his breathes coming out in harsh, hard wheezes. He keeps going. He has to keep going.

All right, let’s try this again.
I wrote a gay romance book, “Double Hue.” I’ve been trying to get it published, and decided to send it to the romance sister site of Damnation Books (who published my book, “Treat Me Kindly.”) I sent it yesterday. Normally, they ask for a couple of chapters, but the Acquisitions Editor, Erin, responded right away and said that after reading the first paragraph she wanted the entire story.
I tried not to get my hopes up, but I sent it over.
I just got an email tonight saying that they’re accepting the book for publication.

When something tragic happens in your life you want nothing more than to close your eyes, go to sleep, and make all of the pain go away. For Gable Peterson it’s a little more complicated than that. When detective Maurice Ashford shows up at his door with news that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, has been found dead, Gable is left devastated. Seeking some sort of comfort Gable does the same thing he did when his grandfather died back when he was a little boy; he closes his eyes and imagines a world where it never happened.
Only, when Gable wakes up, he’s surprised to see that Avery is actually still alive.***
So this is going to be a book now. Stay tuned for more details!

So my editor interviewed me for her blog :) I answered a bunch of questions about writing, my geekiness, and things about race/gender/sexual preferences and all that. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully, I’ll be doing more interviews in the future.

The first book of the Hunters series is currently with the publisher, in the editing queue. So while we all wait for updates, here’s an interesting tidbit.
This series started out as a role play between my partner and I while we had a long distance relationship in college. She was down in Iowa and I was up here in Minnesota. I drove down to see her at least once a month (a four hour drive one way!) and during the rest of the month we hung out on mIRC and AIM throwing our favorite anime characters into new plotlines of our own creation. Somewhere along the line these characters took on personalities, lives and stories of their own so they were completely different from the characters they were named after. Years later I got bored at work and wrote a scene between two of the characters just for fun, and that became the first scene of this book.
While we wait, I’d love to answer questions about the series if you guys have any. So, any questions for me?

An art commission for my gay romance short story, “Press START to Play.” These are the two main characters. I am so incredibly happy with how this turned out. I’m going to be making postcards for conventions and posting it wherever I can. Seriously, this is more than I could ever ask for :) You know you have a good artist when they read the story and give you a game screen in the background without you even saying anything ^^
